Abstract
Subak Educational Tourism TeBa Majalangu is an educational tourism destination in Kesiman Kertalangu Village, Denpasar, Bali. This destination integrates agrarian traditions and tourism management innovations to empower local communities. However, in its implementation, tourism management will certainly face challenges, such as limited infrastructure and lack of digital promotion that can hinder the sustainability of the destination. Therefore, this study aims to analyze community empowerment strategies through Subak-based educational tourism management innovations in TeBa Majalangu. The study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation studies. The subjects of the study included tourism managers, local communities, and tourists. Data were analyzed thematically to identify patterns and strategies applied. The results of the study showed that community empowerment was carried out through English language training, agricultural education programs, and the development of interactive activities such as matekap and feeding animals. This strategy succeeded in increasing community involvement and providing a unique tourism experience. However, improvements to road infrastructure and optimization of digital promotion are needed to expand the reach of tourists. The conclusion of the study confirms that educational tourism management innovations in TeBa Majalangu are effective in empowering local communities while preserving Balinese agrarian traditions. This approach can be a sustainable and relevant community-based tourism model to be applied in other regions.
