Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model with the integration of 21st-century skills, known as the Four Cs (Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, and Collaboration), in four early childhood education institutions (PAUD) in Klari District: Pos PAUD Kenanga, TKIT MTA Karawang, TK Mawar, and TKQ Zahrotunnisa. Each institution carried out different projects, such as making rengginang (traditional rice snacks), recycling waste, creating educational toys (APE) from used materials, and fish farming with water spinach. The findings show that PjBL successfully enhanced the Four Cs in young children. The children displayed creativity in producing products, critical thinking in solving problems, effective communication within their groups, and strong collaboration in completing the projects. However, the main challenges encountered were the readiness of teachers to integrate the Four Cs and the limited resources in some institutions. Overall, PjBL proved to be effective in improving the quality of early childhood education, although further training and support for teachers are needed to optimize the implementation of this model.
